Driving home after injections

I would like to drive home, I need something to keep my injected eye closed. Any suggestions? My doctor says some patients do drive home.

  1. If your doctor is comfortable with you driving home following your injection, ask them to put a temporary patch over your eye. My sister gets injections every 2 to 4 weeks. They offer to put a patch on her eye. Best wishes, Sharon Moore Advocate

    1. My doctor offered no opinion regarding my driving. She only says that some do drive home. I tried a silicone device from Amazon, but it didn’t keep my eye closed, so that eye’s image diminished my vision. I can ask her for a patch at my next injection.

      1. , my RS says no driving after having the eyes dilated, but it’s ok if I just have the injection. Usually I’m fine after a few minutes, but sometimes I’ll stop for a coffee first to give it more time to settle down. Would your vision improve enough if you’re able to plan a break before going home? Sending good thoughts your way, Cora Lyn, MacularDegeneration.net Team Member

        1. You don’t need an patch of any kind? How long do you wait?
