If your doctor is comfortable with you driving home following your injection, ask them to put a temporary patch over your eye. My sister gets injections every 2 to 4 weeks. They offer to put a patch on her eye. Best wishes, Sharon Moore Advocate

My doctor offered no opinion regarding my driving. She only says that some do drive home. I tried a silicone device from Amazon, but it didn’t keep my eye closed, so that eye’s image diminished my vision. I can ask her for a patch at my next injection.

, my RS says no driving after having the eyes dilated, but it’s ok if I just have the injection. Usually I’m fine after a few minutes, but sometimes I’ll stop for a coffee first to give it more time to settle down. Would your vision improve enough if you’re able to plan a break before going home? Sending good thoughts your way, Cora Lyn, MacularDegeneration.net Team Member

You don’t need an patch of any kind? How long do you wait?
