Adapt, adapt, adapt

67/68: Exposure to agent orange during the Vietnam war. Diagnosed type 2 diabetes 1984. 1998 oral drugs no longer effective, graduated to insulin. 1998 DIAGNOSED Afib & Hypertension. Diabetic Retinopathy 2005. Laser surgery performed to stop bleeding. 2006 laminectomy L4 & L5.

My AMD diagnosis

2020: diagnosed AMD both eyes, progressed rapidly to wet AMD in both eyes. Stopped injections in 2022 due to extreme pain due Betadine antiseptic used post injection.

2024: Laser surgery on left eye to stop blood & fluid loss. Worked but too late to prevent loss of central vision in left eye.

It's all about adapting

My point: There was no choice here, it is all about adapting to physical changes. I'm 78. R.S.
says it is only a matter of time before the right eye will follow suit.

I take it one day at a time. I don't cry over spilt milk. I adapt. And I will continue to do so.

Acceptance & Resilience. Stay safe and thank you for this site, no pun intended. Lol.
