Injections paused after stent.

My husband recently had a heart attack and had a stent put in. He is at home recovering. He was due injections in both eyes a week after the stent was put in. He was quite capable ofgoing for it.The Opthalmic consultant cancelled the appointment which was a 6 week appointment and has delayed the next appointment for another 6 weeks. This means no eylea injection for 12 weeks. Husband is on anti platelet therapy and it worries me a bad bleed could happen in that period. Do you think this is standard practice? Grateful for any replies.

  1. Hi . That must have been awfully scary. I hope the stent procedure went well and that your husband is feeling even better than he did before the heart attack. I wish I had answers for you, but we're not medical experts and this is something that really takes some expertise to answer. Can you message his ophthalmologist and ask? Thinking of you and wishing you both the best. - Lori (Team Member)
