Stroke and injections
I have been getting injections since 2/23. This past Monday I had a stroke. I am on Plavix which I have to take for 30 days then 5 days later I can get my injection. I was due for an injection coming up 4/3/24. Has anyone had a stroke since starting the injections? Is anyone on Plavix and has to stop it for 5 days to get an injection?
I am so sorry about the stroke. I can’t offer any medical advice. Your doctor should guide any decision in regards to the Plavix. Unfortunately, we are not medical professionals and are unable to provide any medical advice, so if you haven't done so already, I definitely suggest talking to your PCP or retina specialist about any correlation with your stroke and any treatment you're receiving for MD. So sorry to hear about your stroke and hope you are doing well. I recently received my second injection and suffered a TIA which apparently is a side effect of the medication injection I received. The neurologist put me on Plavix but I am hoping I will be able to receive my third shot. My wavy line disappeared after the first injection but will need to speak with my neurologist and retina specialist before proceeding with the 3rd injection. Just wondering if anyone else experienced a TIA after injection. I hope you continue to improve.
