I need a new and more readable cell phone, or combo cell and tablet.

After 8 years of wet and dry AMD, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to read on my cell and use it to call or text. I've got every magnifier ever imagined, But they're no longer enough.

So I'm hoping a few of you have been able to discover devices that have made these tasks a little bit easier. I'm not looking for the cheapest thing out there; I'm willing to pay for quality devices. If possible, and as sort of a minimum, I'd like to be able to adjust the lighting and contrast, and increase the size of fonts and/or the keyboard. My current phone addresses most of these issues, so I'm now hoping to find the best phone, or perhaps a combination phone with a separate, but connected tablet (if such a thing exists). Any and all suggestions will help me, and probably others wanting to read and stay in contact with friends and loved ones. Your time and knowledge are greatly appreciated! 🥰

  1. Hi . This is such a great question. I hope you get lots of useful feedback. I recently saw an ad for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7. Apparently, the phone opens up to give you twice the screen size. I have no experience with it though and I have not researched it. It's expensive, about $1,000, I think. I'll be interested to see what others have found. Warm wishes. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Thanks for writing back Lori! I did notice that that new Z Fold7 phone was going to present a very large screen presence but I'm not sure yet if it is capable of providing larger fonts. If I find that it is I'll let everyone know. Best wishes to you and all.
