Glasses to pay the Drivers Test
I am having a tough time now with the computer, so please excuse me if I don't do it correctly. I went to a low vision doc who I purchased the glasses with the little telescopes attached (don't know what they are called), but without them, I would not have been able to get my drivers licensed renewed. I paid $4300 for them, but I think you can get them for much less. They are heavy for a 93 year old little lady, but I can still drive, and that is a Godsend to me.
I meant to say PASS the drivers test, not PAY. I am sorry that I am having trouble with trying to help others with AMD. I can not do it well like I used to. Sorry. Gloria Russell

). No worries about the typo. We understood what you meant. How awesome that you were able to get your driver's license renewed with the help of those lenses. I believe they are called bioptic telescopic glasses. I can imagine they must feel bulky. Maybe the manufacturers will find a way to make them smaller and more convenient someday.
