If your colours are fading, which part of the spectrum is the most noticeable?

  1. Great question Cora, for me it’s difficult to separate green from blue and orange from red on the color spectrum wheel. Richard- MacularDegeneration.net team member.

    1. So you’re on both ends of the spectrum, . I find it interesting. Mine is more the blues and greens so far. Cora Lyn, MacularDegeneration.net Team Member

      1. I am losing yellow. I noticed it at my last visual field test. You are supposed to look at the light in the center of the screen. With my bad eye, the light was white. I was really surprised when the light turned yellow with my good eye. So strange.

        1. it is a good idea to check each eye separately. That is how I found out my double vision is only in the left eye. According to how sunny the day is, I have trouble with the green on traffic signals. Thanks for sharing your experience. Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

        2. I got a surprise, too, when I realised I was loosing green/blue differentiation. It was when using my television remote control. I was supposed to push the green button, but I couldn't tell the difference between the green and blue buttons, even in good light. I haven't noticed it anywhere else, thankfully. I hope your good eye continues to be able to differentiate colors. Best wishes, Wendy, Patient Leader.
