I read a study recently about a new tool to help with central vision loss. It's exciting and expensive but may be is worth every penny. It's called Eyedaptic and it helps to replace central vision loss with glasses that somehow transfer the "missing image" on to the retina. At $4K it's an investment for sure but for anyone who needs it you need to consult a low vision specialist. I wanted to share because I have some central vision loss due to GA but my other eye compensates very well. There may come a day when that's no longer true.
