Up Close & Personal: An Interview With Louis McDermott

Louise McDermott has lived independently over twenty-five years with dry macular degeneration and explains how she became involved in a study with the Midwest Eye Institute. This trial involves injections in both eyes to improve or stop the progression of dry AMD.

Participating in a clinical trial

The study no longer accepts new participants, but it continues to evaluate those currently involved. Louise candidly discusses her experiences as a participant in this study. She lives independently in a 55 and older community in Indiana where she remains active.
