Very anxious about Izervay shot, but it is my only hope now

I have been reading a lot on this forum and have learned so very much. I don’t feel alone anymore. Many of you are experiencing exactly what I am experiencing. It’s scary, but I am very thankful that I found this forum! I’m encouraged that if the survey shot works, I can continue daytime driving. I only drive short distances and getting ready to move to a very small town where I’ll be living right in the city in a very safe building surrounded by lots of other condo owners. My husband drives at night. I am really most concerned about the fact that I do 75% of the cooking and cleaning and dishes right now. We are moving to a much smaller condo, but it will still be an issue. My husband doesn’t have any qualms about leaving dirty dishes in the sink for two or three days. And it drives me crazy. He says he will do better and I know he means too, but it’s just not important to him. Maybe if I can get him to agree to at least spray all the food off of them if he’s not going to put them in the dishwasher? Anyway, I don’t need that anxiety in addition to Dealing with all the vision issues. I am in the advanced stage of macular degeneration, just diagnosed with geographic atrophy, and getting the observe shot next week.
Can anyone tell me if they’ve had it and what the results were thank you so much. Also, can anyone tell me which phone is better, for getting specialty features for the vision, impaired, iPhone or android?

  1. Hi . I totally get the dirty-dish stress. I can't stand to leave them in the sink either. I hope you can convince your husband to at least spray them. It might be easier for him to turn that simple task into a habit compared to rinsing dishes and then loading them into the dishwasher. It would at least relieve some of the stress for you.
I hope you get input from the community for both your questions. While you wait, I thought you might find this article about Izervway helpful:https://maculardegeneration.net/living/geographic-atrophy-treatment-results. Here is another article that touches on the benefits of iphone and androids: https://maculardegeneration.net/living/electronic-devices-accessible. I would imagine the features vary from one android phone to the next.
