IZervay Injection

After being diagnosed with Dry AMD and GA, I had my first shot of IZervay. (Prior to the shot I have had no symptoms related to this condition. Only an alert from my eye doctor and then a consultation with a specialist.)
Even though the shot was not painful, I had a lot of irritation of the eye from, what I believe, were the various drops prior to injection. This is day 2 and it appears to be going away. I have also been trying to understand what activities I should avoid and for how long after each injection. I'll stay connected and provide any feedback that seems pertinent.

  1. Hi . I'm glad the eye injection wasn't painful. Some people do react to the solution used prior to injections. If the irritation becomes too uncomfortable or unbearable, please let your doctor know. Here is a wonderful article about eye injections that includes information about aftercare: https://maculardegeneration.net/eye-injections. I hope this helps and that you get input from others in the community. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
