Has anyone heard about red-light or low-light therapy?

There is research going on about the effects of red light on Dry Macular Degeneration specifically Geographic Atrophy. Check out the YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnbGuZIPljs
The name is "Dr Eye Health/ Recient Eye therapy: eye health miracle?
The trials are being performed by Lumthera.com. Interesting and hopeful if it works.

  1. there is lots of interest in red light therapy. I was not able to open the link for the clinical trial. Would you mind checking the link ? Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

    1. Sorry, I do have trouble seeing because of blind spots and I must have typed in the wrong spelling, here is the copied link: https://www.lumithera.com/

      1. INTERESTING & something I can discuss with my Retina specialist. I trust his opinion but also keep in mind, it’s his educated guess so if ever I’m in doubt, I self advocate by doing my own research. Thanks for the link. I’ll use it to learn more about red light therapy. Linda Hoopes, Team Member

        1. Sharon Moore: I just finished treatment for luma thera in Switzerland. I'm supposed to have another series of treatments in 4 months here in the U.S. Does anyone know if the FDA has approved it yet. I understood it would be approved by the end of spring, 2024.

          1. I went to Lumi thera’s website. I don’t believe it is approved in the US yet. https://www.lumithera.com/about-lumithera/. How did your first 4 treatments go? Warm regards, Sharon Moore patient leader
