Geographic Atrophy progression
I have dry eye macular degeneration with GA. I see my specialist every 6 months. Is it a usual custom for the specialist to report on the progress of the GA? For example , the atrophy itincreased by 10 percent, 5 percent, or ihas not changed at all since the last visit.

. From what I have read in this community, that seems to depend on the doctor. Many doctors will say nothing if nothing has change, but others give a report every time. Have you asked your doctor about progression? Keep in mind that you pay good money to see this doctor. You should never be made to feel uncomfortable advocating for yourself or asking questions.
