Computer

Hi All, i was recently diagnosed with ZGA in my right eye. I start onjections next week My laptop is pretty useless tp me much of the time because I can't see the keyboard or sometimes script on the screen. I need suggestions for a computer that can accommodate my visual impairment. Suggestions? Thank you in advance Nancy

  1. You might try posting this in the forums @maculardegeneration.com/forums. I tried a new computer recently but ultimately returned it. I do better using my 12.9” iPad Pro. It has excellent accessibility features.

    1. Thank you for your reply. I have zero ipad experience I currently use my phone for nearly everything but it's not meant for every application I need. Thank you again, Nancy

      1. Hi . An iPad works very much like a smartphone, so you might find that to be an easy transition. Though I can't think of a specific laptop or computer to recommend, here is a wonderful article aboutelectronic devices and accessiblity that you might find helpful: https://maculardegeneration.net/living/electronic-devices-accessible. Warm wishes. - Lori (Team Member)

    2. Thank you so much! Crazy coincidence. Today we were going yhrough items at my late mother-in-law's house to decide what ro keep before the estate sale. Our friend found a brand new I pad in a box and we kept it. Guess Mom was looking out for me. Thank you again and I will read the article. Nancy
