I have no problems with the injections. It is the adverse reaction to Betadine. Agonizing pain.

A painful reaction to Betadine

I am 77. I can usually handle pain. I have had a laminectomy, gallbladder surgery, and pancreatitis over the years. Pancreatitis was the worst until my reaction to Betadine.

How did I adjust? I did not. I will not let them use Betadine again. EVER. Yes, that bad.

Another potential option

No bleeding or fluid leaks in 2 years after 2 years of injections. If I need further injections, I will find an RS that uses chlorhexidine gluconate.

The nearest is about a hundred-plus miles away. NEVER felt pain like this in my life.
