No Pain from Injections

My ophthalmologist must be excellent because I have not experienced any pain from injections.

Injection issues I deal with

The only things about the procedure that bother me are:

  • It is frightening to get a shot right in the eyeball. We are psychologically adapted to avoid things being stuck in our eyes.
  • The drops used prior to the shots sting a lot.
  • Not being able to see much right after the shots is disturbing.

Also, needing to rely on another person for transportation from the appointment is bothersome because it puts the patient in a position of complete reliance upon someone else, such as a spouse, who may already be doing too much for the patient.
