New Medication for Wet MD

After three years of Avastin injections, six years of Eylea injections, and now six months of Vabysmo injections, my retina specialist and I are finally seeing stability and some improvement in my condition.

Vabysmo is a very new medication from Genentech Corporation. The procedure for the injections is the same as for the other medications and the side effects are also the same.

My husband has been switched to this new med and we have had a bit of anxiety concerning it. We were told it would take 2weeks to see if there are any side effects. Has anyone experienced side effects? Thank you.

 <inline-mention username="CommunityMember454be5" user-id="6635063"/> I, too, receive Vabysmo (in RE, Avastin in LE). With Vabysmo, we have been able to extend the interval between injections to eight weeks so far (from four weeks on Eylea,) and I am hopeful that we'll be able to extend it even further. Good luck to us both!

How long were you on 4-week intervals before moving to 8 weeks with Vabysmo?

 <inline-mention username="CommunityMember454be5" user-id="6635063"/> Several months at four weeks, then several at six weeks, and now, next week's injection will be the first at eight weeks. But it's so individual and depends on the OCT scans.
