Raising Awareness for Mental Health

May is mental health awareness month, so we want to ask you:

How are you doing mentally lately?
When you're having a tough day, what are some things that help improve your mood?

  1. The past few weeks have been a challenge. My husband had major back surgery. This crisis was followed by a severe fall that resulted in injuries. The fall has caused anxiety and fear of falling. I am coping by turning to my faith. Many passages in the Bible begin with “and it came to pass”. I remind myself that this too shall pass. Sharon, patient leader

    1. Health wise I have had a number of incidents that has giving me life threatening that I overcame without any mental hang ups. Remarkable.

    2. Hmm mental health, that’s a loaded statement isn’t it. Living withMMD has settled into a quiet, uneventful status quo as they say. A challenge in our life is a son (24 years old) who is struggling with His mental health, is unemployed and we have no idea what’s next in his world. Trying to not let this/that worry overwhelm myself, tough stuff. So yea mental health is a loaded statement in my world these days. Can’t let it tear me down.
