Help finding assistance for Izervay

I have geographic atrophy. I had one shot of Izervay and it went great. After second shot I received a copay bill for medication for $400 each eye every six weeks. This was never told to more and i cannot get injections now. I applied to Izervay they said no because I have Medicare. I live on ssi $22,000. Where else can I apply? Most agencies I find do not cover geographic atrophy. Any help please!

  1. Hi just in case it may be of assistance, I shared an article we have on a variety of resources - https://maculardegeneration.net/resources-health. Hoping something in the article proves useful. Kindly, Jessica (Team Member)

    1. thank you!

  2. I am not sure what all they cover but this link is to a program to assist with healthcare costs. https://mygooddays.org. Have you talked to your doctor or the clinic about your situation? Perhaps they would be willing to lower the deductible. If you have a local agency on aging they may know of a resource to help you. I am getting treatment with Izervay but Medicare and a supplement cover all the costs. I hope you find a way to continue your treatment. Warm regards, Sharon Moore patient leader
