AMD,CATARACT, AND ONE EYE

Most if the stories I read are inspiring. I wish I could report such success. I had a retinal detachment which I lost vision in that eye with optic nerve damage in my right eye. I do have a cataract in my left eye with AMD. The doctors don't want to remove the cataract because of the risks that could happen. I do still function except driving which is my biggest heartbreak so far. I am 69 years old with a 2024 vehicle parked in my garage. I get sad and frustrated at times. But I continue to do my best.

  1. My heart aches for you, . What a trying journey. Will they eventually do cataract surgery if it threatens to become blinding? I can see why your doctor wants to hold off given that you have vision in only one eye. Please know we are here for you whenever you need support or a place to vent. Thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)
