Hope for the Best, Prepare...
I was diagnosed at 50. My grandma was diagnosed at 70, so I was quite surprised.
The onset of my symptoms
I was stable for a long time, so I didn't really think about it much. I took my vitamins, ate healthy, and wore my sunglasses.
About 3 years ago I started noticing straight lines weren't straight anymore; then I started having tiny blank spaces.
I have always hoped for the best
Lately I need much brighter light to do many things. My last appointment put me at high risk of developing wet MD, so I am trying to learn about that.
Hopefully I can work a few more years, but staring at the screen all day might not be the best. I am just not ready to give up anything. I have always hoped for the best while preparing for the worst.
