"I have had 4 injections since April; 2 good 2 bad. The good were just scratchy “flash burn” eye for several hours. The bad were really bad scratchy eye for 10-12 hours. I did figure out that I was opening my eye during the betadine swab for the bad ones. I told my RS I will just keep my right eye lightly closed during the prep until she tells me to open it. "

"Good. I will be going for my 5th injection Monday."
Thanks for the update @dannybaz23! How did the injection go yesterday?

Yesterday was not too good. Kept my eye shut through the betadine swab but had very scratchy eye for 6 hours after injection. Not the worst but far from the best. So now I will add very dark sunglasses after to see if that helps also. It was a very bright hot day in Vegas yesterday and my wife drove us around to lunch and some shopping we wanted to do.
I was hoping to hear that things went extremely well for you yesterday, @dannybaz23. I'm sorry that you had another experience with uncomfortable scratchiness after you injection...it sounds like you have a plan to try to make it easier next time too. Dark sunglasses and rest. Please keep in touch with us, we are thinking of you and sending healing vibes your way. -Andrea, MacularDegeneration.net Team Member
