Zinc levels high when taking Areds2?
Has anyone had their zinc levels tested when using the Areds2? Did it come back too high? Mine recently came back at 101 which is in range but the upper end of it so I'm thinking of switching to an Areds2 product with lower amounts of zinc.
i have never thought about having my zinc levels tested. Was the test covered by your insurance. If you haven’t already, you may want to discuss the issue with your retinal specialist. Some retinal specialists are okay with the lower formula of zinc in Areds2 supplements. Keep us posted if you talk to your doctor. Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader I took ARED2 for about 12 years buy about 5 years ago I was told by my physician to stop taking them and find something else to take for my eyes because I was on the verge of having zinc poisoning. I now take Upnoroush ARED plus. It has helped my eyes much more than what I was taking.
