Switching from Eylea to Avistin

So my insurance will not cover Eylea injections and I may have to switch to Avistin. I have had 2 Eylea injections already with some improvement and am concerned about Avistin. Has anyone made the switch and what were the results?

  1. George I did some research to help you find a way to get Eyelea when your insurance does not cover it. There are assistance programs that you may be eligible for. You can check this out using this link

My sister was able to get her injections through this program. Best wishes, Sharon Moore advocate

        1. I had some bad reactions like watery runny eyes bloodshot, redness and burning, going to have another next month will let you know how that turns out, may have to talk to the Dr. about reactions and maybe return to avastin, don’t know yet. I will let you know.patr

      2. I have had avistin here in BC Canada since the beginning..no side effects...read an article... vision improves or for the most part stays the same
