Small Setback - 6 week injection

I think I know why. On Monday, I had my injection and was told the right wet eye showed some swelling. The cause? High blood pressure - one of the causes of AMD. I have NEVER had high blood pressure but it looks like I may have developed a little - not dangerously high but enough perhaps to affect my eye. I just hope it doesn't affect my other eye.
I am on a small dosage of bp med and will see the doc in 5-1/2 weeks rather than 6. Not a huge deal but I would rather go forward than backward.
I am with you on this statement Brown Eyed Girl-- "I suppose it might advance to GA in due course. How long, I don't know. I haven't asked, because I really don't want to know. I can't do anything about" ... it is a good stance - knowing something you can't control only leads to worry so what's the point..
Hope all is well for others on the forum...Onward!!

  1. Hi . I hope the medication brings your blood pressure under control and that the swelling goes down. I also have high blood pressure. Because of side effects, it took me three medications to find one that was right for me. If you have any issues with yours, know that there are many options available you can try. Let us know how your next appointment goes. I'll be sending lots of calming vibes your way. - Lori (Team Member).

    1. Thank you - very nice response. It isn't very high and as I said, I have never had a problem with it. I just started a 5 mg dose of a very common drug - my doctor feels confident that we can bring it down. Sure do appreciate those calming vibes. Thanks so much.
      I'll keep you posted. LeeLars
