The thought of an injection in your eye can scare the bravest person. Share your positive experience about how injections are helping slow down the progression of wet macular degeneration.
I’ve had close to 100 injections in the last ten years. I am grateful to still be driving (daylight only), watching TV and reading on my device. Best, Richard-patient leader

thanks for sharing. It’s wonderful that the injections have helped slow down the progression so you can continue driving etc. Sharon, Patient Leader

I have had at least 30 injections which thankfully stopped the bleeding. My excellent RS numbed my eye & put a lot of goop in it so I would not see the needle. It was painless and successful. My vision, however, in one eye is terrible.

Thank you for sharing your experience with injections. I am glad to hear that they were both painless and successful. Sorry to read that you have bad vision in one eye. Are you wet in both eyes? Warm wishes, Sharon Moore Patient Leader

I hope your other eye stays good. It does require a lot of adjustments to live with any form of macular degeneration. All the best, Sharon Patient Leader

Hi Sharon - thankfully so far only one eye has been affected and I hope it stays that way! You are a very sweet person to ask. My life has changed quite dramatically but I am thankful to be otherwise healthy. I hope you are too!
