Posterior cataract needing surgery on my left eye which has age related detaching retina already

Need some encouragement. Because it's my best vision eye they have to operate. My right eye with the drusen that I can't focus out of is actually my best seeing eye. Wondered why life had gotten so blurry. I have had NO surgeries on my eyes and my regular doctor told me I won't be completely out of it. They are trying to book an ASAP consult now.
