Is peripheral vision usually not affected by myopic degeneration?

Some webpages claim that although myopic degeneration could lead to loss of central vision, side (peripheral) vision usually remains unaffected. Is that true? What's it like to live with peripheral vision, and what kinds of activities are supported with peripheral vision alone? Thank you.

  1. I thought this article might answer some of those questions @ https://maculardegeneration.net/myopic/

    1. It can be scary when you are first diagnosed with AMD. the AREDS2 vpitamins are important to slow the progression. There are lifestyle changes that can also help slow progression. you can read about it here https://maculardegeneration.net/lifestyle-changes/
My intermediate AMD has remained stable for two years now. Best Wishes, Sharon Moore Advocate
