thank you for your good wishes. My previous specialist told me that all wet macular degeneration begins as the dry form. Some people don't notice they have the dry form first, and aren't diagnosed with it. The first thing they might notice is when it develops into the wet form, and they get diagnosed with that. The dry form doesn't "go away" when wet develops. It is still there. I think that is one of the reasons that sometimes sight still deteriorates while people are having injections for the wet form. The dry form is still there. I just wonder why my doctor never mentions how the dry is progressing. Perhaps it's because we don't have the injections for the advanced dry form in Australia yet, so there is no treatment for it here just now.
