Hi . This is a good question. I hope you get lots of input from the community. While you wait, I thought I would share with you this article about visual aids for people with macular degeneration: https://maculardegeneration.net/assistive-devices. Here is an article from one of our health leaders about some resources she found and accomodations she made with items purchaed online: https://maculardegeneration.net/living/preparing-life-geographic-atrophy. Your eye doctor might have more ideas or resources for you as well. You can also try any local agency that helps the visually impaired. Sometimes, they have devices you can try out before buying them. I hope this helps. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)

I use Amazon for many of my needs. I recently purchased a talking kitchen scale. You can find measuring cups with large letters. I have 3 different magnifiers from Amazon including a small lighted one I carry in my purse.

I love the idea of a talking scale. That seems like it would be really helpful. Thanks for sharing what helps and thanks, too, for all the awesome support you have provided in this community over time. You are the best! Warmly, Lori (Team Member)

I did a search and found The Blind Kitchen website that sell items to help the blind cook and it also has a lot of tips, ideas and videos to help a blind person cook.
