What type of television type is best for elderly with macular?
Looking for any specific tv's for my grandmother with macular. She currently has an older but basic TV so any recommendations would be appreciated.

Very new here but I wanted to say that my wife bought us a 55inch Fire TV that is also HD and I believe it is available thru Amazon.com.
The difference in clarity is remarkable and the TV is a 'smart' TV thereby connecting us to the Net, easy streaming as well as many controls for improving the display. I highly recommend it.

-You have possibly bought the new television by now, but I have one recommendation for anyone in this position. This comes from my experience with my parents. Try to buy a TV that has a remote control which is easy to use: buttons not too small and not too close together and easy to locate by touch. As well as being able to see the screen they need to be able to operate the TV. Wendy - Moderator
