Wet MD

If you have wet macular degeneration how are you being treated?

  1. I've started on Lucentis because I've been offered a spot in a Port Delivery Trial. This method of delivery is not yet approved in Australia. If I decide not to participate in the trial, my RS will probably give me Eylea. Wendy, Patient Leader.

    1. Thank you for the link to Vabysmo forum. I am interested to read everything.

    2. it does help to keep relevant comments in the same place, but you are welcome to comment anywhere and everywhere! The more information we all have, the better Wendy, Patient Leader.

  2. I am receiving injections of Eyelea in my right eye. Had my first one 2 weeks ago. Im told I will need one per month.

    1. I'm glad your doctor mentioned trying 3 monthly injections after the first few doses, which I think they call a loading dose. I didn't get that far with my doctor because he discussed being in a trial, and that took up our time. I'm in Sydney, Australia. We have a few members in Canada and their procedures do seem to differ somewhat from the States. Wendy, Patient Leader.

    2. I just wanted to add that my doctor looked at my OCT at my visit a month after the first shot. He said it had worked very well and he showed me where the fluid had decreased. I hope you can get some early feedback too. Wendy, Patient Leader.
