Wet amd and geographic atrophy

I have wet amd in my left eye and intermediate dry amd in my right eye. I had my first Eylea injection in my left eye. I have read that 37% of people with wet amd will also get geographic atrophy in the same eye within 2 years and 98 percent will get GA in a little over 7 years. Is this correct?

  1. am posting a link that explains those risks for advancement @https://www.macular.org/about-macular-degeneration/geographic-atrophy#. I think it’s important to focus on those healthy lifestyle changes you can control to lessen your chances for advancement. My sister has had wet AMD well over 10 years now with very little progression. She recently passed her vision test for the drivers exam without glasses. I have GA and getting injections since last December. I am stable with no perceptible progression. Warm regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

      1. Thank you so much for responding. That is very encouraging about your sister and yourself! I am so happy to hear the treatments are slowing progression. I can’t seem to get the link to work, but I am not as computer literate as I would like to be. I will keep trying. I really would like to read the information. Thank you again.

        1. I think there must be a problem on our end. You can try to copy and paste the link to open it. Sharon, patient leader
