I don’t know if this is off subject, but has anyone here got a view on Vabysmo (faricimab), injection fir wet macular disease? At my 10th injection, they gave me this, after having Lucentis and eyelea before. Thanks.

Vabysmo has been a hot topic the past few months. It can increase the time between injections. I am attaching a link so you can read about Vabysmo. https://maculardegeneration.net/vabysmo Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

my sister is on Vabysmo. She just saw her retinal specialist and did not need an injection. It had been 6 months since her last injections. She has wet in both eyes but her vision is still good. When do you see your doctor again? Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

, thanks for your reply. I have only had one Vabysmo so far, and my next appointment is on Tuesday. This means it will be 4 weeks between injections. But maybe this is the starting point? I shall ask my ophthalmic nurse on Tuesday as I will be getting a scan. Best wishes to your sister, it makes a difference to have longer between injections, especially with a 50 mile round trip in the winter!

I believe the initial routine is monthly injections with a gradual increase in between appointments. My sister use the same doctor and travel 200 miles round trip. She is so thankful not to go so often. Keep us posted after your visit on Tuesday. Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader
