Next step after F-A

I will be seeing my new doc on Monday. I think he will be doing this procedure (Fluorescein-angiography) but don't know for sure. I think the next step after whichever procedure is done, will be to determine what kind of dosing schedule I will be on. I was diagnosed with wet amd in late Dec and was not able to see anyone until this coming visit.
Does anyone know the steps. I'm hoping to find out what I'm in for.
Thank you.

  1. I don’t have any personal experience with this procedure. I found this article I think will answer your questions.
Good luck with your procedure. https://ophthalmology.med.ubc.ca/patient-care/ophthalmic-photography/fluorescein-angiography/

    1. Thanks. I'll let you know after Monday.

      1. I really hope you went well at your appointment. When you've recovered and if you feel like sharing, we'd like to know how what you had done, and how you are, because we're thinking of you. Warm wishes, Wendy, Patient Leader.

    2. Thank you -- this appt was a follow up exam and a second opinion. I was told I had wet mac degeneration in late December. The exam I had yesterday showed no significant change from 2021 that yesterday's doctor did at that time. Long story so I will condense. I do not have significant damage to my right eye and will return in 7 months for follow-up. I feel very fortunate as I was first diagnosed in 2017 with dry m.d. in both eyes. I take AREDS equivalent supplements and eat a lot of greens and exercise daily. I am 83. I continue to hope that I can maintain my eye health. Best wishes to all.

      1. it sounds as though you have things under control. Thanks for reporting back. Was the diagnosis of wet macular degeneration confirmed? It seems that it wasn't. It sounds as though you're not going to have any injections just yet? Wendy, Patient Leader.

    3. Hi. I do not have wet md. I have drusen R eye and dry armd L eye. So I must mind my Pease and Quuus. Best wishes to all.

      1. thank you for clarifying. You must be very pleased that you don't have wet amd and very glad that you got that second opinion! Best wishes, Wendy, Patient Leader.
