In the below Harvard article about new evidence of taking Areds2 in late stage GA, it also says that the GA shots are controversial and was wondering why are they controversial?

  1. Both Syfovre and Izervay have received FDA approval. I have no idea why they would be controversial. I have ban on Izervay for over a year with no progression. It would be a good idea to talk with your doctor about whether they are right for you. if you already have lost your central vision they can’t restore lost vision.

    1. I still take areds2 faithfully. My retinal specialist has always wanted me on them. I am glad you shared the link showing they were still a benefit to those of us with GA.

    2. It's wonderful to hear that you have a great retinal specialist with regards to areds2. I hope that you will have continued success with your treatments. Thank you for all of your help!
