Latest Injection - #3

I had the third injection last week - I have graduated to a 5-week schedule. My visual acuity, while still not great, improved to 20/150. I am hoping this is a trend -- he also said my chance of dry (other eye) going to wet is 5% - 10%. That is also an improvement. He originally said 10-15% - not sure why that changed. The pressure I felt this time was a bit more intense. No big deal however. Once I got home, I popped a couple of Advil - much better. Hope everyone is doing well outside of this dreadful disease. Peace.

  1. thanks for the update. All in all it seems it was a good visit with some improvement in visual acuity. I get my next injection the 24th and hope for good news. Warm regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

    1. Hi and thanks for your thoughts - both.😀
I was somewhat encouraged but know the road is a long one. Best wishes for good results going forward.
Wendy - I saw a story today that said Sydney is one great place, if not the best!! Sure does look like an interesting city. Enjoy!!

      1. Well, his loss. You just quietly enjoy the view...

        1. Yes, please do.

Regarding my recent results, I find it difficult to feel REAL positive as this disease is so sneaky. I have practically zero risk factors for getting it to begin with - except for age. I know of no one else (grandfather had glaucoma) but of course, it may have been present in one of my ancestors. Not first order family at any rate.
The fact that the only tool to protect oneself is AREDs is not heartening but it's all we have. So on we battle!!
          Peace.
