FDA release of Apellis injections for dry AMD
Has anybody had the new released injection yet?
I haven’t read of any of our members getting it yet. My understanding is that it only became available to the doctors this month. Do you have GA, advanced dry macular degeneration? One of my retina docs believes in the injections and my other retina doc would like to wait and see more reaction, like may be wait 6 months or a year? I don't know what to do. Will see one on May 1st and will report of the outcome.
we will look forward to hearing how you go. I would find it difficult to decide if two doctors had slightly differing opinions. But at least it is an option that wasn't available before. Wendy, Patient Leader.
