I know about the areds but are there and studies that show fish oil helps. I'm just trying to do anything I can to keep this beast at bay.

It would be helpful to ask your doctor about other supplements that might help slow the progression. I am taking saffron with my doctors approval though only small studies have been done. It may not help but he said it wouldn’t hurt to try it. Lifestyle changes may help slow the progression. You can read more here https://maculardegeneration.net/lifestyle-changes/

What other supplements are you using beside areds. In your searches have you come across any studies supporting the use of turmeric for AMD.

I discuss the use of supplements with my retinal specialist and while he doesn’t know how much they can help he says they won’t hurt me. Are you taking turmeric for macular degeneration? Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader
