Does anyone else have ARMD with Histoplasmosis?
First diagnosis was ARMD 2013. Very little vision loss. In 2015 l got a diagnosis of Histoplasmosis, as well. Eye injections became a regular part of my life until recently, when Optho declared me stable. Indeed i went almost 6 months without needing a shot. Recently a small eruption, this time more in the center of my vision. Again a shot has taken care of the worst. My question:will these new outbreaks continue in different retinal areas?
my sister has had wet macular degeneration for over 10 years now. She has periods of time she is stable but eventually she gets new bleeds and receives treatment. I am not sure how Histoplasmosis affects the eyes. I hope other community members will chime in with their experiences. Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader
