Update on My Dry Macular After 47 Years

47 years ago, I suddenly had thousands of what I thought were gnats flying in front of me. My macular started breaking up.

Macular hole and macular edema

Here I am 47 years later, and I've really done well 'til now. I now have a macular hole and macular edema. Retina specialist will see me next week.

Can't watch TV or open the blinds

Does anyone here know how long it takes to get worse for surgery? Thank you for answering, I'm SO tired of not being able to watch t.v. - it's too bright for my eyes. Having to keep blinds closed... sigh...

If im not answering in the correct place y'all will just have to forgive me.thank you for answering me, ill update when I have my retina appt. My husband turned the brightness down on the t.v and its really helped. Had no idea getting old would be like THIS. Thanks for those links, im getting on them right now..

Not much to watch on t.v these days...i mostly watch QVC, during the day, trump news and something like Columbo and ID TV... haha. David Jeremiah on Saturdays, he's wonderful...let two days my eyes have been a little blurry. Been kinda dark allday with hurricane black clouds..
