New Treatment for Dry MD

For those of you with both wet and dry who have been treated with the newly approved injection for dry MD, have you felt a difference in getting the injection for dry? I understand the medication is thicker than for wet. I am getting my first injection for dry tomorrow and am a bit nervous. Thank you.

  1. we only have a handful of people who are getting the new treatment. Sorry you didn’t get an answer. I hope all goes well for you with the injection. Please let us know how it goes. Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

    1. I just had my first shot of Syfovre 2 days ago. It did not hurt. It feels a little like you have sand in ur eye. I will get the next in 6 weeks. I have a 350$ copay so my doc has to fill out a form with Appelis who might help with financial assistant.
I am very happy to get started. Good luck to all.

      1. I hope you get help with the copay. After all, you would think Appelis would want as many people as possible to have the injection so they can keep on monitoring it. Wendy, Patient Leader.

      2. thanks for sharing your experience with the Syfovre injection. I hope you qualify for assistance. Keep us posted as you get more treatments. Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader

    2. What is the advantage plan that your friend is using to have a $50 co-pay?

      1. I am not sure which plan he had. He recently passed away. The plans offered vary by states. We live in Oklahoma. I do know it was not Humana. Regards, Sharon Moore patient leader
