Foveomacular Vitelliform Dystrophy

Is there anyone on this forum that has been diagnosed with adult onset foveomacular vitelliform dystrophy?
I recently went to a retina specialist and apparently that's what i have. I was under the impression i had dry AMD, but this is a "cousin".
I'd be interested to know your symptoms and treatment if any.
I was diagnosed with the beginnings of AMD 18 yrs ago but this is the first I've heard of AOFVD.

  1. I'm sure I've heard of a Community member mentioning something similar. I'll see if I can find it for you. Wendy, Patient Leader.

    1. I found this comment on our Forums. The community member @Jacque mentions vitelliform dystrophy. https://maculardegeneration.net/stories/long-strange-trip You could reply to them using this link if you wish. I hope they have something in common with you with regard to your condition. Best wishes, Wendy, Patient Leader.

      1. Yes he seems to be coping fine. His eyes have stabilized for now. We don't see the same RS as he lives in another state.

      2. it's good to hear that his eyes have stabilized. Best wishes to both of you. Wendy, Patient Leader.
