  1. My favorite eye healthy recipe is for homemade cranberry sauce. I mix a can of mandarin oranges with juice with the cranberries and simmer until the cranberries “pop” and thicken a bit. Add in your favorite sweetener and chill before serving. This keeps several days in the refrigerator. This study list cranberries as a powerhouse of nutrients that support eye health and may even slow the progression of macular degeneration.
