Betadine
I am going for my first injection and have heard horrible things about betadine that it causes pain and discomfort for days after the application. Is there no other medication available
thanks for your question. It's a good one! Some people do have irritation from the Betadine, but not everyone. Many community members ask if the strength of the Betadine can be reduced. Many also ask for extra rinses after the injection to wash out the Betadine. I have heard Community members say their doctor uses an alternative antiseptic and I've heard others say that their doctor won't use anything else. Can you phone the surgery and discuss with them?
