Diagnosed Years Ago & Keeping Hope

I was diagnosed when I moved. I went to the eye doctor 18 years ago at age 56. Since then, I've been taking AREDs and going to a retinologist once a year.

I'm legally blind in one eye and I have cataracts. I am waiting until they are awful in case of complications.

My doctor recommended a Notel vision machine that will be able to tell me if it goes from dry to wet. An "AI" machine is used 3 times at least a week. So far so good. It's been a year since I started it.

My MD is only slightly worse so that's good. I always wear sunglasses and take my AREDS2. Never smoked which helped.
We will see. I'm 75 in a few months. Fingers crossed!
