Macular Degeneration Awareness Month 2023
Last updated: February 2023
This month we are raising awareness for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and low vision. Our goal is to bring the MacularDegeneration.net community together to talk about shared experiences, tips, tricks, and advice on how to handle day-to-day tasks and challenges, especially when your condition progresses.
AMD affects nearly 20 million adults in the United States. Macular degeneration can show up in many different ways including dry, wet, myopic, and Stargardt disease. We want you to know that no matter what type of macular degeneration you have, you have a place here in this community. Read below for ways you can get involved with our community this month.1
