I, too, have had dry macular degeneration for years. I was diagnosed over 12 years ago. In a sense, I feel lucky that it has progressed slowly and have not yet advanced beyond the intermediate stage BUT I have noticed changes in my vision. I agree that new & stronger lens don’t help in most cases. I’m curious if you are seeing a retina specialist? I go every 6 months and am hopeful to hear him say I’m stable and learn about the many new trials for dry AMD that sound promising. If you’re not already seeing a Retina Specialist, now might be the time to start. They can address any issues that come up for you and answer your questions.
