The Daily Not Knowing of AMD

I was diagnosed with dry AMD (macular degeneration) in both eyes during a routine eye exam in 2021. I was 70. My oldest sister had wet AMD and when I called my other sister to tell her, she told me she was just diagnosed with dry AMD.

I had a lazy eye as a child and with exercises, I was able to almost correct it. I couldn’t have surgery due to heart trouble. I never could see real good with that eye.

Well, my husband was diagnosed with distal muscular dystrophy and I was hoping to care for him as he gets worse. It’s so hard not knowing from day to day what will happen. Lots of praying going on. Hoping a cure will be found someday.
