Clinical Trial For Dry Macular Degeneration

As per my doctor, the FDA has to approve the injections for dry MD. They are supposed to make it available this year.

I am going to participate in a new trial for dry MD which involves oral medication. As soon as I know more will let you know.

Clarissa, I’m was also considering joining a trial for dry AMD until it started to get more complicated to participate than I expected. It was also for oral meds and included a placebo. I would be very interested in hearing more about your experience, Clarissa. This is really great news - FINALLY they are doing more for DRY AMD! Linda Hoopes, Advocate

Congratulations on getting into the trial and for agreeing to take part. I know it isn't easy to get into any trials, because the researchers often want people who have almost no other health issues except the one they are studying.
